Cooperation among KTG Energy and VinaCapital in Rooftop Solar Energy Developing

On July 27, 2020, KTG Energy signed a Cooperation Agreement with SkyX Solar (a subsidiary of VinaCapital Group) for building and operating rooftop solar power projects in all provinces in Vietnam. KTG Energy shall responsible for projects developing and SkyX Solar is the major shareholder.

KTG Energy is not only a subsidiary of KTG Group which has the role of an enterprise specializing in investing for installing “Free” solar power systems for Enterprises but also a pioneer in deploying installation of the Solar Energy system right away for the factories of member companies. It’s bring reality experiences and advantages that the Solar Energy System give for Vietnamese Enterprises.

 

VinaCapital is a leading and well-known company at investment in Vietnam. In 2019, VinaCapital has expanded its activities to invest in the energy industry and focused primarily on renewable energy. In early of September 2019, SkyX-Solar member company was established by  VinaCapital which specializing in providing rooftop solar energy solutions for industrial and commercial segments.

 

With similar goals in developing solar energy in Vietnam to bring a clean and green renewable energy source, protect the environment. The two companies agreed to sign a cooperation agreement to work together. Jointly building rooftop solar power projects to contribute to the implementation of the above orientations.

 

In 2020 and 2021, with the mission of bringing clean green energy to industrial zones across Vietnam, KTG Energy and SkyX solar will focus on investing to build 50MWp systems in industrial zones, with the first construction project is expected to contribute to reducing 1.6 million tons of CO2 emissions into the environment.

 

 

Mr. Phan Thanh Trung, Managing Director of KTG Energy said, “When signing this cooperation agreement, we hope that these projects shall help reducing the national grid load in industrial zones, bringing a new face for industrial zones and creating a different value for business owners that are installed rooftop solar power systems through reducing CO2 emissions and achieving LEED certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)
